I wrote this song in tribute to Pittsburgh, PA where I did my graduate work. I fell in love with the rich music and arts history there.

In garments green that paint the scene.

Waters wide blue, cross the shore.
Three rivers run in a maze of crazy freeways.
Quick! Make a turn that’s it,
Or you miss Fort Pitt!

Like a groove of Hardbop made in steel,
Swingin’ feel,
To Warhol painted pop, and Wilson plays.
Special kind of soul in this town,
Love above all else.
